Transfers to and from Orouba Language School

Transfers from Orouba Language School to other schools

Required documents and procedures:

  1.  Postal money order (حوالات بريدية) with the student’s name directed to the educational district office (ادارة تعليمية) of Basateen and Dar El Salam.
  2. 4 copies of the “Transfer Request” document (طلب تحويل) certified by the school and the educational district office (ادارة تعليمية) of Basateen and Dar El Salam.
  3. The “Transfer Request” document (طلب تحويل) must also be certified by the school being transferred to as well as the educational district office (ادارة تعليمية) of that school.
  4. For grades 1 to 6, a Grade Report showing A-level subjects. This document must be certified by the school and the educational district office (ادارة تعليمية) of Basateen and Dar El Salam.
  5. Settling the balance for any deferred fees for the previous academic years. (مخالصة مصروفات)
  6. After the “Transfer Request” documents are certified, two copies must be returned to Orouba Language School.
  7. The student file of the transferring student is delivered to the parent/legal guardian along with a copy of the “Electronic Transfer” document(التحويل الاكتروني) certified by the school

Transfers to Orouba Language School from other schools

Required documents and procedures:

  1. To transfer to OLS, there must be an available slot in the grade level the student is transferring to.
  2. The age of the student on the 1st of October of the academic year of transfer must be consistent with the legal age limit set by the Ministry of Education.
  3. Available slots will be announced on the school website in June. The school will announce the list of accepted students by the end of July.
  4. Applicants are given priority placement according to the following criteria:
    • The applicants have siblings who are enrolled students at the school.
    • Applicants are classified by older age
    • The applicant’s performance on the admissions test / interview.
    • Results of the Medical Check by the school pediatrician.
  5. In the case of acceptance, the following documents and procedures are required:
    • 4 copies of the “Transfer Request” document (طلب تحويل) certified by the school and the educational district office (ادارة تعليمية) of the school transferred from.
    • Grade Report showing A-level subjects (English & French). This document must be certified by the school transferred from and the educational district office (idara) of that school.
    • Confirmation of Enrollment (تسلسل دراسي) for the previous academic years attended in the school. This document must be certified by the school and the educational district office (ادارة تعليمية) of the school transferred from.
    • A copy of the “Electronic Transfer” document (التحويل الاكتروني) certified by the school the student is transferring from. This document is essential in order for the school (OLS) to be able to register the student.
    • The “Electronic Transfer” (التحويل الاكتروني) document must also be certified by Orouba Language School and the educational district office (ادارة تعليمية) of Basateen and Dar El Salam, and returned to the school that the student is transferring from.
    • The “Electronic Transfer (التحويل الاكتروني) document allows the parent/legal guardian to withdraw the student file from the school transferred from.
    • The parent / legal guardian fills out an Enrollment Application at the Students Affairs Office and pays the first installment of the annual fees as stated by the Ministry of Education. Those who wish to subscribe to the bus service will also be required to pay the first installment of the bus fees
    • The school provides the parent / legal guardian with a list of instructions for the coming academic year. This list includes information regarding the dates for receiving textbooks, the dates for the beginning of the academic year, the dates for paying the second installment of the school fees and bus fees.

Students transferring from abroad

All documents and certificates must be notarized from the country that the student is transferring from. The student is then registered through the educational district office (الادارة التعليمية).

  • Note – please inform the students’ affairs office of any changes that may occur in addresses or phone numbers.
